Almodova is a small town on the N2 about an hour or so north of Faro.
The tile panel above depicts the local church Sta Maria dos Olivais, however this is a modern panel, but it does seem to show the celebration of the Festival of Trays, normally celebrated every four years.
Almodova also has a couple of fascinating metal sculptures of some size made from metal parts of machinery and depicts something like the shoe industry or similar.
A very pleasant and compact town well worth a visit.
